Sprout Smoothies – A New Twist on Green Smoothies

I made an overabundance of Alfalfa and Red Clover sprouts so I threw a bunch of them into my blender along with Organic Spring Mix Greens and some fruit and blended it up. While I did not add enough berries to truly mask the taste of all the sprouts, the smoothie wasn’t that bad tasting.

I found it to be a nice twist to a green smoothie that I usually have every morning. I plan to have sprout smoothies on a regular basis because it is a very easy way to consume large quantities without trying to make several sandwiches.

If you really want Sprout Smoothies to work you will need a really powerful blender and there are only two on the market that can really get the job done. That is the Blendtec Total Blender and the Vita-Mix Turbo Blend.

I personally use the BlendTec, however you cannot go wrong with either brand. They are tough as nails and can liquify leafy greens. They are the most used tool in my kitchen, well besides my Sprouter.

What other way could you get so many greens in the morning without the use of oils and dressings? Green Sprout Smoothies are truly a power food.
